Abstract Submission

The general call for abstracts has now closed

Editorial decisions from convenors will be sent by 16th March 2009.

The final revised abstracts from authors are due by 30th April 2009

Final notification of acceptance/rejection of your abstract will be advised by 24th May 2009

Presenting authors should note:

They must register for the conference by the 31st May 2009 in order for their papers to be included in the program and proceedings.

A limit of two papers per presenting author will be applied.

All abstracts are to be submitted via 'EasyChair'.  Speakers will have to create their own account with EasyChair and follow the instructions for uploading abstracts.
Abstracts will not be accepted by email.

Important notice:

The call for abstracts has been very heavily subscribed and the addition of new abstracts at the web site is now disabled . The convenors wish to thank all authors for their submissions and for helping to ensure that the 10th Biennial SGA meeting will have  an outstanding technical program.
Authors who have previously registered an abstract in Easychair are still able to modify their submissions. However, modified abstract files should not be submitted unless specifically requested by session convenors. The review process is now underway and the conference cannot undertake to review late resubmissions of papers.
If you are the author of an invited paper that is not yet registered in Easychair please contact your session convenors directly for further advice.
If you have a late paper that you would like considered to be wait listed for the program if space become available, then please contact one of the session convenors. Please note that further submissions can no longer be considered from corresponding authors who have already registered an abstract for the conference.


Extended abstracts should be no more than 3 A4 pages including figures, tables and references. 

When submitting the abstract, author(s) need to indicate:

  • preference of oral versus poster format (see Instructions for Authors)
  • proposed speaker named as the first author.
  • preferred thematic session (see Instructions for Authors)

In addition to the thematic sessions, there is an general session available for those papers that do not fit into specifically identified thematic Sessions (see Program).
